The community fund
The Little Sparrow Community Fund is our way of inviting the community into widening the impact that a small flower farm can have within the community contributing to the flourishing of all our members. The Community Fund goes directly to supporting and employing adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
For 5 years, Little Sparrow supported the formation of Reality Farm, a program that fostered meaningful relationships and purposeful work through small-scale, sustainable farming. Reality farmers grew vegetables, fruits, herbs and flowers that benefited the larger Reality community. The Farm was a program of Reality Ministries, a community-based non-profit 501(c)(3) that offers a variety of opportunities for participants to work, play, learn and grow together. Little Sparrow now works to hire farmhand's through the Reality community. This fund will help to make this possible.
