2022 Spring and Summer Subscriptions are here!

Flower Subscriptions are now on sale for the Spring and Summer 2022 seasons. We are so grateful to respond to the outpouring of support and look forward to another year of bounty! What a gift to write this, just as we begin to witness all the tiny buds - the true harbingers of spring.

For those who have participated in the flower subscription for the past few years, you will notice a price increase. Many of you already know that small scale, ecologically-minded farming is not for those seeking large profits. It is a risky enterprise, labor intensive, and often your work brain never shuts off! Those choosing this work, do so because their affection lies elsewhere. Nevertheless, it important at this stage in Little Sparrow’s growth to consider all the ways farming can be more sustainable, honoring the work and valuing the fruit of that work. Additionally, Little Sparrow is working to keep up with the current flower market trends. Our hope is that you will continue to value the gift of local, seasonal flowers and the invitation to know your community farmer. Thank you for your continued support and understanding!

My hope for this coming season is to open up the farm more intentionally, welcoming all of you into community workdays and potlucks, as the days of rest allow. It would be a joy to feast and work together.

Similar to last year, subscriptions will continue to be available for pickup at the farm and the Corner House, on Thursday’s:

  • Little Sparrow Farm on Thursday’s, 4:00pm-6:00pm (3120 Mt. Sinai Road, Durham)

    • Flowers will be on the back porch in buckets with water.

    • Please bring a vessel of some kind for pick up (Ball Jar, vase, or bucket of your own). There will be a jug with a spout for you to fill your vessel with water so that you may take them home with care.

    • Flower bouquets will not be labelled so please only take the number that you ordered.

    • Enjoy!

  • The Corner House on Thursday’s, 4:30pm-6:30pm (301 W Geer St. in downtown Durham in the North Street Neighborhood)

    • Please knock on the front door and you will be greeted with your flower bouquets.

    • Please bring a vessel of some kind for pick up (Ball Jar, vase, or bucket of your own with water)

    • Please come within the designated time frame, or let us know that you will be late, or unable to pick up.

  • There is a possibility that Little Sparrow might have a pick up at a Chapel Hill location, but this is still TBD. If you are interested in this option, please email Katy at connect@littlesparrowfarm.com.

If you have any particular questions about how the subscription works, that have not already been answered, please reach out to Katy at connect@littlesparrowfarm.com.
